Pan European High Resolution Vegetation Phenology and Productivity (HR-VPP) Launch
Copernicus Land Monitoring is pleased to announce the launch event for the Pan European High Resolution Vegetation Phenology and Productivity (HR-VPP) launch.
At this event you will be informed about the products specification, learn about tangible use cases as well as how to access the HR-VPP services.

Since 2020 the Pan European Component of the Copernicus Land Monitoring Service (CLMS), coordinated by the European Environment Agency (EEA), has been implementing a new set of Biophysical Parameters, the High Resolution Vegetation Phenology and Productivity (HR VPP) layers, addressing the dynamics of the land surface vegetation. The HR VPP products are a product suite containing several vegetation growth related products, such as daily monitoring, a gap filled 10 daily monitoring and yearly phenological and productivity parameters.

The HR VPP products support a wide range of applications, but in particular they address applications to capture seasonality, productivity and internal-annual variation of vegetation dynamics to measure ecosystem responses to climatic factors such as temperature, rainfall as well as fire or anthropogenic disturbances. The products offer new temporal and spatial dimensions to address the status and change of ecosystems, habitats and land cover at continental scale and have the potential to contribute to LULUCF reporting.

The event is open to everybody who is interested in this topic, but in particular it will add value to those who are considering using our data, be it for research applications, downstream services, or national and regional authorities.
